Maya and Scott first met in 2021 and every day since has been a crazy adventure. On their first date, Scott offered to take Maya for dinner and a ride in his 1964 Corvette, but sadly due to the heat (and other reasons) the car would not start on the driveway. From inside, Maya, her mom Monica, brother Evan, and stepbrother Gavin watched as Scott pushed his car down the driveway. However, they still decided to have their date, which ended up being the start of an amazing connection. Needless to say, the relationship has never ceased to be interesting!

When they first met, Maya had just adopted her first cat, Fritz. Of course, having a kitten meant that she never wanted to leave him alone, so Scott had to spend a lot of time at Maya's place with her beloved Fritz. The three of them instantly became a family. Soon came Arugula, and Romaine closely to follow, arguably starting their "cat problem." Feeling blessed with their opportunity to live in their own home, Maya and Scott knew they had to give back to the community in some way. In January of 2023, Maya and Scott fostered their first cat through Heart & Soul Cat and Dog Rescue, Rusty, and have since helped find homes for over 40 cats. From there they adopted their amazing foster "fails" Basil and Cloud, who they love dearly.

In their first summer together, Scott taught Maya how to drive standard so she could live her dream of owning a Mazda Miata. He helped her fix up the car she eventually ended up purchasing, and the two joined the Sea to Sky Miata Club where they participate and help coordinate drives throughout the Fraser Valley. This also led to the creation of their business, Atomic Garage, which has been a passion project for both of them throughout their relationship.

Maya and Scott have shared their love of cats, cars, vintage, video games, and more together and with their friends and families. This wedding is a celebration of all of the things that make up their amazing life together. They cannot wait to celebrate their love and the joining of their families with all of you. Each one of you have impacted their lives and they are forever grateful for all of the amazing people they are surrounded by.
